  • To iron on HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl) with a regular iron, set your iron to the cotton setting, turn off steam, place the HTV design on your garment, cover it with a piece of parchment paper, apply firm pressure with the iron for 10-15 seconds, and then carefully peel off the carrier sheet while the design is still warm; ensure you check the specific instructions on your HTV for optimal temperature and peeling method.

    Key points to remember:

    • Choose the right setting: Always set your iron to the "cotton" setting for most HTVs.
    • No steam: Turn off the steam function on your iron to avoid moisture affecting the adhesive.
    • Use a protective layer: Place a sheet of parchment paper between the iron and the HTV to prevent scorching the garment.
    • Apply firm pressure: Press down firmly on the iron with both hands to ensure good adhesion.
    • Work in sections: For large designs, press in sections to ensure even heat distribution.
    • Peel carefully: Check the instructions on your HTV to see if it's a "hot peel" (peel the carrier sheet while the vinyl is still warm) or a "cold peel" (let it cool completely before peeling).
